In the past two years I've worked 5 different jobs, 7 different locations. (For your reading pleasure and to alleviate any confusion I've provided a list of these places below)
Starbucks (Guilford Mall)
Starbucks (Central City Mall)
Starbucks (Cloverdale)
Mystique Hair Design
Knobby's Restaurant
Sticky Rice Thai
White Spot
I've had 4 different homes. I often forget my current postal code.
And many many beginning friendships. (You know the ones that just start and then stay the same)
I believe change really takes a tole on your heart. After a while you start to fear it's routine, re starting over and over, re hanging pictures on your wall, re putting yourself out there socially. Change becomes inevitable and all of a sudden you find yourself asking "Why should I put the effort into anything, when it won't end up lasting". This attitude attacks the very core of who you are and suddenly your just existing with no passion or zeal for anything in life. Maybe you start to forget a little bit about who you are because you haven't stopped, you've been too busy adjusting that you haven't had time to just "Be".
Change can be an exciting and great thing, but perhaps there is such a thing as a little too much change?
Okay okay, So how do we deal with too much "C" ? When your heart feels tossed around from place to place, person to person and job to job. To be honest I'm still figuring it out, but here are some things I'm learning along the way.
Whatever season we are in we need to make the best of it and live life to the fullest. (Easier said than done) Seize the moment!
Our circumstances don't determine who we are.
Amongst all the chaos and inconsistency we can find peace in knowing that no matter what changes in our world (good or bad), Jesus will indeed remain the same. Done and Done.
A verse to ponder...
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Please share any thoughts or experiences you have on the subject of "change".Mucho <3
