The Most Wonderful Time

It seems like such a long time ago now that I decided to start a blog and then promised my next entry would be soon-
so I guess my definition of soon is "a month and a bit later" :)
ah well. one of these days I'll get in on a good ol' routine and maybe JUST maybe I'll have more than 3 followers. haha.
Well it was such an answer to prayer that I managed to get time off to be home for my friend Lynnette's wedding AND for Christmas. At first the chances of me being able to come home for Christmas were looking very slim; as work posted a huge memo saying "No Time Off During the month of December will be granted, yada yada"
But here I am, sitting at home, its unreal-So very blessed & taking it all in!
Home is a Wonderful Wonderful place. Especially at Christmas Time.
Often times when I'm home it feels as though I'd never left. Obviously things have changed here and there, but a lot remains the same. The people, The Holiday Traditions, The Town.
A huge part of my heart will always be in this little town called Sioux Lookout.
I love that I've built friendships here that even though life takes us our separate ways and we may loose touch, when we come together we can pick up right where we left off. Thats gotta be rare.
I love walking into the local coffee shop Roy Lane and knowing at least half if not all the people sitting in to enjoy a cup of coffee.

This Christmas is extremely memorable as Lynnette is the first one out of us group of friends to get married! (And oh what a beautiful wedding it was, see pics below) We've always chatted about these days like they were so far away and now here we are actually living them out! I know its caused a lot of us, including myself to be extremely reflective. And reflecting takes us to many different places and evokes a lot of different emotions. Reflecting about how things were and that they'll never be the same. Reflecting on the future and what it holds, and what we want out of life. Oh there's just so much, sometimes these thoughts get quite overwhelming.
But really we've just got so much to be thankful for, so much to look forward to and many stories from our past to learn from and to tell.

Only a few more days until I'll be headed back to my other home now, Surrey, BC. to continue the chapter of my life there. Excited for what this year holds.

Congratulations if you read this far and Happy Christmas Everyone!
Much Love
